Make a WishFrank started a conversation with me the other day, and he was nice enough to include some of his photos in an email. I like his work, so I asked him to submit some photos and text to Ink Stained Hands. The photos are really interesting and Romantic (capital R, referencing the 18th century art movement). They also have a playful magical realism as evidenced by the floating egg in Balance below, at least that is how painters refer to captured moments of small impossibilities.
Here is what Frank had to say about his photography:
Sometimes I "see" a photograph and other times the photograph "sees" me. I don't think about it, I shoot the photo and I'll worry later how much I like or dislike it.
No matter what, person, place, or thing its always about light.

It could be "Ron Southern, The Rat From Texas", so I better not complain. I do have a poetry blog, you know, though it's not the kind of thing that most people are seeking these days. Too bad.
