I thought I would take a post to say thanks.
I have been really enjoying writing on this blog lately because I am getting a lot of feedback. I get some comments on posts from friends, some private emails, and even a couple of comments from people I don't know.
Having this serve as an informal forum, similar to the painting forum and workshop at the University of Iowa, is probably the most fulfilling thing this blog could be for me. I will try to continue to develope my writing and subject selection to produce topical and interesting posts that invite discussion.
I really enjoy putting ideas out and then having them challenged or affirmed. I feel lucky to have a community of artists who read this website, and my favorite thing to post is other artists' work.

yeah, when i started a blog (as my banner states, "always self-indulgently thinking you care to read this"), i didn't really think it had a purpose other than self-gratification. then as more friends began blogs and it made me want to post more, i realized that it could be a place for discussion. so, i don't question this format as much as i used to and actually kinda like it now.
Great to see the drawing...looking good as usual. Its exciting to see them because I don't remember what they looked like in the first place so I'm seeing them in the first place so its great. Hopefully Jamie emails some pics of the Paintallica Lite stuff we did this weekend--i think there are some good ones. Keep up the good work Bill!
