David Shrigley is an artist from Scotland who makes observations that remind me a little of The Far Side comic strip.
I catch myself laughing for 20 minutes by myself when I go through his website.
He has achieved a sort of major underground fame, where his books are on the bookshelves of stores like Printed Matter, but also is museum bookshops. Shrigley is bound to be a major influence on humorous art for the next generation. He is 40.

There are a lot of books by him, click here.
The drawings are crude but oddly intelligent and descriptive. I think if you don't know about Mr. Shrigley you will be happily surprised by the strange and delightful ride you now have access to via his website and books.
