This is a video of me in my studio. I have shifty eyes in it for some reason, I wonder if that's how I look all the time?
I am going to be in a new magazine about art and music on Long Island called New York Twist. Pretty cool. I have to photograph some stuff again for it, because last time I took the photos they want I didn't have real lighting and they look like crap.
Don't know if anyone noticed, but I made a couple of changes on the site. I shortened the amount of posts that appear on the first page down to five, because I figure that is probably a week's worth of posts, and if you want to read more they are listed in the sidebar, or you can click on the older posts on the bottom right below the last post. I also redid the colors to the bookstore, which has sold several books lately good to see you guys can read, I put a lot of thought into what is included in the bookstore, click here for the bookstore.

Josh Podoll

Josh Podoll was finishing up his MFA when I was starting mine at the University of Iowa, and I got to know him a little. He was very calm and thoughtful, and he made paintings that are really trippy, where something is presented as a flat shape and deep space. So something looks solid relative to something else but that when examined your eye falls into it, and the only thing I can think of which is similar would be walking through the woods and tripping into a hole that is deeper than you are tall.
He shows at Feature Inc in Manhattan on the Lower East Side.
